We have been hosting our Aromatic Adventures and residential classes for more than eight years and have formed a considerable rapport with local farmers, distillers and artisans. The combination of the study of essential oils in our spacious, modern venue with the wealth of colour, scenery and experience of Provence ensures that your time here will not easily be forgotten.

AROMATIC ADVENTURE IN PROVENCE

August 6th-12th, 2010

This year’s Aromatic Adventure is filled with the delights of Provence and people passionate about all things aromatic! We plan to share with you key highlights of a rich, historic and aromatic part of our region, guaranteed to satisfy all the senses. We shall be visiting historic and sacred sites, markets, botanic gardens, farms, distilleries and of course tasting fine wines and other delicacies of our region. Carefully marrying busy touring, visits and discovery with times of quiet and reflection in a region of outstanding natural beauty, this program will help re-enthuse and re-charge your passion for all things aromatic and for the remarkable individuals who are in harmony with their terroir. A special highlight of this tour is spending two nights in a secluded mountain refuge in the famous Verdon gorges.

What is included…
All group transportation from days one to seven

What else you should know…
August is peak holiday season in Provence and thus some locations will be crowded. Come prepared to take all this in your stride!
August is also hot hot hot! Come with appropriate sun protection as well as a light waterproof in case of afternoon storms.
You will need a pair of walking shoes/sneakers in addition to your usual summer wear.
Some of the region is mountainous and roads can be winding…if you have a delicate stomach, come prepared with travel remedies.
Where there is lavender….there are also bees! If you are allergic then please bring appropriate medication with you in the unlikely event that you will be stung.
Mosquito repellent may also be required.

Porters or luggage Sherpa are very rare species in Provence so please ensure you can carry your own suitcase! And most importantly… be sure to leave plenty of luggage allowance for your return trip home…!

 

ADVANCED CLINICAL AROMATHERAPY INTENSIVE
RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM IN PROVENCE

PART 1
July 2nd-10th, 2010

This nine day program of intense study and aromatic fun in Provence is ideal for qualified aromatherapists looking to extend their knowledge and skills in advanced clinical aromatherapy. Main areas of essential oil chemistry, key methods of administration (including internal use), safety and essential oil research are addressed as well as providing plenty of practical experience in product formulation for all the routes of administration discussed in class. We also take time to encounter aromatic plants of Provence both wild and cultivated. The opportunity to network with other experienced practitioners from different countries further enhances this full and rewarding program.

This program forms the foundation course of Advanced Clinical Aromatherapy run by Essential Oil Resource Consultants. Entry onto this course requires a prior aromatherapy qualification. This class is not suitable for persons with limited aromatherapy training or experience.

ADVANCED CLINICAL AROMATHERAPY INTENSIVE
RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM IN PROVENCE

PART 2
July 22nd-30th, 2010

This nine day program of intense study and aromatic fun in Provence is ideal for all qualified aromatherapists who have previously undertaken level one ACA studies with us here in Provence or in any of the countries where we teach. This program takes us further into considering specific pathologies and how we approach them clinically with essential oils. Our main topics include working with inflammation, infection and pain as well as concepts of terrain and different bases of essential oil administration with special focus on hydrolats. The opportunity to renew contacts from previous classes and network with other experienced practitioners from different countries further enhances this full and rewarding program.
